Welcome to the new temporary home of Braeburn’s Two Pence. This humble page on blogger that will, until I trick my friend Jim into building me a website, be the place to visit if you are at all interested in hearing the thoughts of ME, Marcus Eusebio Le Tissier Braeburn, on subjects as diverse as football, cricket, golf, life (occasionally) and er, football. It is no coincidence that this new venture is launching on the eve of the brand spanking new Premier League season and I can only imagine that everyone reading this is as excited as old Braeburn at what the next 10 months has in store...
As I type this new managers will be preparing for the off at each of last season’s top three, Mini-Ferg has already started moaning on about conspiracy theories at Old Trafford, The Ego is sharpening his eye poking finger at Stamford Bridge whilst Manuel Pellegrino has slipped into Man City with barely a mention in any of the popular press that I have been bothered to read. Elsewhere, clubs up and down the league have been spunking the massive TV money that they have received on all manner of exciting looking players, Norwich, Swansea, (super) Southampton to name but three all looking to take the step up and become top halfers this term. Don’t count out one of that trio being this season’s surprise package either, my money would be on Saints to have a cracking year, but then I am both biased and stupid.

Mark Lawrenson Football Imbecile
My contempt for BBC football ‘expert’ Lawrenson is now too great for me to simply sit and do nothing for another season. This year I will be making predictions for every Premier League game and keeping score to finally settle that age old argument; is Lawro a football expert or, like I suspect, a complete imbecile.
6-0-6 Deconstructed
The only thing that makes me angrier than Lawro constantly predicting that Southampton will lose and QPR will win then is 6-0-6. Every now and again, when I can be bothered I will be commentating on an episode of 6-0-6 attempting to highlight all the reasons why Robbie Savage should be banished from the airwaves forever, this will be done in Tweet form and then written up into a devastating clever and humorous article afterwards. Watch out Savage, Braeburn is a coming...
Weekly Betting Tips
Each weekend I will provide a few betting tips free of charge, these will include singles, win doubles (my faves) and some correct score spreads. Personally I would advise waiting a few weeks to see how my form is looking before backing any of these, although I did win twenty quid last week if that helps?

From time to time something will make me angry enough to sit and rattle off a few hundred words to stop my head exploding, expect rants on what a cnut Harry Redknapp is, how poorly Saints are covered in the national press and why Tottenham will definitely win the league in the next 5 years (although I have been saying this for ten seasons to no avail thus far).
